PM Nguyen Tan Dung meets with Da Nang city’s leaders about the local socio-economic situation

PM Dung made the statement during a meeting with the authorities on April 14. He specified the fields which the city should pay attention to promote, including aquaculture, fishing, seafood processing, tourism and services.

Meanwhile, Da Nang city should take care of environmental and ecological protection, pollution prevention, poverty reduction, social welfare, health care, education, training, vocational training and job creation, PM Dung added.

The Government leader praised the city’s socio-economic achievements and held out his hope that the city would promote its sound tradition and local potential, as well as recover shortcomings to gain better results in the future, making the city a role model of sustainable development in industrialization and modernization.

PM Dung and officials from central agencies and ministries commented on Da Nang city’s suggestions on preferential policies to attract investment and allocate capital for several important infrastructure projects.

On the same day, PM Dung visited the Song Thu Shipyard Corporation, under the Ministry of Defence’s General Department of Defence Industry. He expressed his expectation that the corporation would continue to fulfill its tasks in both economics and national defence.
