Da Nang allows restaurants, coffee shops to reopen

VGP – Da Nang begun to further ease social distancing from September 11, allowing shops and restaurants to reopen as the central city has gone 14 days without community infection case of COVID-19.

Restaurants, coffee shops and their customers must comply with safety measures such as keeping a safe distance of at least one meter from each other and washing hands with sanitizer.

Municipal authorities asked residents to avoid going outside if not necessary, wear face masks in public places or on public transport vehicles, wash their hands regularly, and keep a safe distance from others.

The city still bans gatherings of more than 30 people outside of schools, offices and hospitals as well as crowd-gathering events like festivals and fairs until further notice.

Local residents will be given ticket to go shopping every three days.

Junior and high schools, and colleges, universities will begin the new school year from September 14, while primary schools and kindergartens will start opening from September 21.

Meanwhile, places such as bars, beauty salon, discos, cinemas, gyms, karaoke and massage parlors, and discotheques, tourism and travel services, entertainment facilities, recreational activities in hotels and resorts, and casinos, plus and prize-winning electronic games for foreigners, still remain closed.

The city’s authorities started easing social distancing since September 5 after 40 days of  urgent measures implementation to combat COVID-19.

From September 7, all domestic passenger transport services to/from Da Nang were resumed as the COVID-19 pandemic here had been put under control. 

As of September 11, the city confirmed that 320 of 394 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals and 31 others died.

Since Da Nang braced for a second wave of COVID-19 in late July, 389 confirmed Covid-19 cases have been reported across the city.

Currently, only 35 remaining patients are being treated at the Da Nang Lung Hospital and the Hoa Vang Field Hospital.

To date, more than 315,000 locals have had their swab and blood serum samples taken for coronavirus testing./.
