The Deputy PM expressed thanks to the professor for working closely with Vietnamese agencies to share information, analyze domestic and foreign economic situations, and give policy recommendations to the Vietnamese government.

The Vietnamese Government appreciates invaluable feedback on directing the macro-economy from experts and scholars, he added, suggesting Prof. Hauskrecht continue assisting Vietnamese agencies in the near future, particularly sharing information and experience in the U.S.’ financial management system, connecting with the U.S.’s prestigious professors and scholars, and the world’s leading think-tanks and experts.

Mr. Hauskrecht shared the U.S.’s fiscal and monetary policies in the recent years and impacts on Viet Nam, and offered recommendations to the Vietnamese government in directing the macro-economy in 2018 and the following years.

He hailed the Vietnamese government’s de-dollarization, expecting to maintain a zero-percent interest rate for US$.

The Deputy PM proposed Prof. Andreas Hauskrecht continue supporting the Vietnamese agencies and organizations in the upcoming time, especially in term of information sharing and experiences on the U.S. financial management system and help U.S. professors and scholars to work in Viet Nam.
