DPM visits clean energy projects

VGP – Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue and his entourage visited solar and wind power projects of Rent A Port during his working visit to Belgium.

Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue works with Rent A Port in Belgium

Rent A Port operates in clean energy and sea port projects. In Viet Nam, Rent A Port was one of founding investors of Dinh Vu Port in the northern city of Hai Phong and invested in Deep C industrial zones in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, thus generating 8,000 jobs. In addition, Rent A Port has also engaged in the restructuring process of the Viet Nam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines).

Regarding the clean energy sector, the Chairman of the Managing Board revealed that the company invested in a series of investment projects in Belgium and provided 15 MW of power to the national grid.

The company is researching wind power project in Cat Ba, Hai Phong.

Deputy PM Hue praised the operation of Rent A Port in Viet Nam, affirming that the Vietnamese Government always supports effective operation of foreign investors. The Government leader took the occasion to suggest Rent A Port continue to implement Vinalines restructuring process in Viet Nam.

Mr. Hue welcomed Rent A Port to research and invest in Viet Nam, suggesting the company to consider feasible investment in wind power in Viet Nam./.
