DPM to attend 13th ASEM Foreign Ministers' Meeting

VGP – Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh will lead a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 13th ASEM Foreign Ministers' Meeting (ASEM FMM13) in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar from November 20-21.

This year’s meeting will focus on strengthening partnership for peace and sustainable development between the two continents.

The Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) is a platform for dialogue between Asia and Europe to discuss issues of mutual interest.

ASEM aims to strengthen relations, promote cooperation and deepen understanding between ASEM partners in (1) political, (2) economic and (3) social-cultural aspects.

Cooperation and activities of ASEM involves participation from government sectors, civil society and private sectors at all levels./.
