DPM receives Korean guest

VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on January 11 in Ha Noi warmly welcomed visiting Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee of the Republic of Korea’s National Assembly, Ahn Hoong Joon who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

Mr. Dam hailed the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s strong information and technology (IT) development and voiced Viet Nam’s wish to share its IT experience.

The host leader expressed his satisfaction with the strong development of Viet Nam-Korea strategic partnership across various fields, particularly in trade and investment.

He also praised the recent cooperation between the two legislative bodies, based on high-level delegation exchange and the sharing of experience.

The Vietnamese Government said the Deputy PM always welcomes initiatives proposed by the Korean government and businesses and is willing to create the best possible conditions for long-term Korean investments in Viet Nam.

For his part, Mr. Joon said that he highly valued the Vietnamese community’s contributions to his nation’s current socio-economic development.

The guest leader proposed closer cooperation in potential areas like education and IT development./.
