The Deputy PM took the occasion to briefly announce Viet Nam’s key policies on economic development, investment, and trade.

According to Mr. Ninh, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) talks have attained significant progress, expecting to create a turning point for the bilateral trade ties in the coming time once the agreement is signed.

The Vietnamese Government, said Mr. Ninh pledges to create the most possible favorable business environment for foreign players including American ones to do long-term business here and fulfill its commitments for foreign investors.

US Chamber of Commerce Vice President for Asia Tami Overby said that once the TPP is signed, all relevant sides will benefit.

The US business community highly valued Viet Nam’s robust economic growth and showed their readiness to talk with Viet Nam on differences in points of view during the negotiation.

A large number of US big companies like Google, General Motor, American Eagle, and Gap Inc were unanimous that American negotiators should be more flexible in the TPP talks with Viet Nam especially in the aspects of garments, textiles and footwear./.
