DPM meets leaders of foreign countries on sidelines of 17th Francophonie Summit

At these meetings, leaders of countries attending the summit extended their deep condolences over the passing of former Party General Secretary Do Muoi and State President Tran Dai Quang.

During his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, the two sides expressed their delight at the fruitful development of the bilateral relations in recent times.

They agreed to enhance the exchange of high-level delegations to promote political trust in the spirit of the Strategic Partnership, especially the preparation for the French PM Edouard Phillipe’s upcoming visit to Viet Nam.  

They were unanimous in continuing effective cooperation at multilateral forums, especially within the framework of the United Nations and the Francophonie community.

During the Vietnamese diplomat’s meeting with Cameroonian FM Mbella Mbella, the two sides consented to accelerate the two nations’ cooperation in both of bilateral and multilateral aspects.

Minister Mbella Mbella asserted that Cameroon and himself always support fruitful and close relationship with Viet Nam.

Mr. Minh suggested the Government of Cameroon continue to make it easy for Vietnamese enterprises such as Viettel to invest in the country.

Minister Mbella Mbella committed to seeking for measures and efforts to remove difficulties and facilitating foreign businesses, including ones from Viet Nam, to pour investment in Cameroon.

At the working session with FM of the Republic of Guinea Mamadi Toure, Mr. Minh expressed his thanks to Guinea’s support for Viet Nam's candidacy for a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 term.

The two sides agreed that the bilateral cooperation should be further promoted through the exchange of high-level delegations and between ministries, affirming that it is necessary to maintain and expand the tripartite cooperation model and to continue supporting each other at multilateral forums.

At the meeting with Madagascar’s FM Eloi Alphone Maxima Dovo, Deputy PM Minh suggested Madagascar create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the host country to live, work, integrate and contribute to the local society.
