Viet Nam expects to strengthen diplomatic relations with Nigeria through Party, parliamentary and Government channels in the upcoming time, said Hue, expressing his hope that Nigeria will hold a more important role in Africa in general and West Africa in particular.

He suggested the two ruling Parties build official relationship in the future, conveying Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong’s invitations to Adams Oshiomhole to soon send a delegation to visit Viet Nam.

Viet Nam wants to expand cooperation with Nigeria in the fields of cashew, aquatic products, rice, footwear and garment production through the sponsor of the APC, said Hue.

Besides economic cooperation, Viet Nam hopes to accelerate cultural and sports exchanges with Nigeria, he added.

Adams Oshiomhole expected to establish a close relationship with the  Communist Party of Viet Nam to pave the way for further cooperation in politics, economics, investment, tourism and culture.

He raised his voice to support Viet Nam’s cooperative plan in cashew processing and wood production, proposing Viet Nam help Nigeria in rice production.

The APC and the Nigerian Government are willing to enhance connectivity between Viet Nam and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), hoping to connect with ASEAN through Viet Nam, he said.

The APC, established in 2013 with 16 current million members, is the ruling Party in Nigeria and is playing a crucial role in Africa and West Africa. This is the second tenure the Party is ruling in Nigeria.
