The same day, Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh held working sessions with Greek Parliament President Nikos Voutsis and Greek Vice-President of Parliament, President of the Greece- Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentary Group Georgios Varemenos.

The two sides highly valued the cooperation between the two nations’ parliaments, which has made contributions to the two countries’ friendship relations.

Mr. Minh supposed that the bilateral economic and trade cooperation does not match the two sides’ political relations and potentials, supposing the Greek parliament soon approved the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), contributing to developing the economic and trade relations between Viet Nam and the EU in general and between Viet Nam and Greece in particular.

Mr. Nikos Voutis asserted to attach importance to the relationship with Viet Nam, advocating the EVFTA. He said he will join hand with the Greek Government to promote the multi-faceted relations with Viet Nam at bilateral and multi-lateral aspects.

Mr. Minh respectively conveyed Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan’s invitation to Mr. Nikos Voutis to pay an official visit to Viet Nam and the Greek leader gladly accepted.
