DPM lauds Special Ambassador’s contributions to VN-JP relations

VGP – Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam on July 26 hosted a reception for Viet Nam-Japan Special Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro in Ha Noi.

Dam spoke highly of contributions of Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro to Viet Nam-Japan friendship and cooperation over the past 30 years through a number of meaningful activities from cultural, social, economic cooperation to people-to-people exchanges.

He praised Ryotaro’s special sentiments to the Vietnamese people, especially disadvantaged children.

Dam expressed his belief the Ambassador will continue activities to contribute to further deepen mutual understanding between the two nations and promote the Viet Nam-Japan extensive strategic partnership.

For his side, Ryotaro said during his visit to Viet Nam, he will meet with leaders of the Ministries of Public Security and Health and organize a music festival titled "ASEAN-Japan Music Festival―prayer for peace" with the hope of boosting the solidarity between ASEAN nations and Japan./.
