As a good neighbor and member state of the ASEAN Community, Viet Nam respects the strategic partnership with Thailand, said the Deputy PM at the reception for Mr. Manopchai Vongphakdi.

The PM praised the bilateral ties that are growing in all fields, particularly in politics, economics, trade and investment.

He suggested the two sides cooperate to successfully implement the Joint Declaration on the third Viet Nam-Thailand Joint Cabinet Retreat, the 2014-2018 action program on the Viet Nam-Thailand strategic partnership, and the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties (August 6, 1976- August 6, 2016).

The Deputy PM affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs would proactively coordinate and facilitate the Ambassador to fruitfully accomplish his mission in Viet Nam.

For his part, Ambassador Manopchai Vongphakdi expressed his pleasure to witness the effective and practical ties between the two countries, pledging to spare no effort to nurture the bilateral relations.

On this occasion, he informed that the Thai Government and the Thai Business Association in Viet Nam had decided to grant US$100.000 in aid for Viet Nam to surmount serious consequences of droughts and saltwater intrusion in the South.

On behalf of the Government and people of Viet Nam, Deputy PM thanked the support of Thai peers and suggested the two countries to work together and with international organizations to sustainably manage and use water resource in the Mekong River.

The same day, PM Minh asserted that Viet Nam always cooperate with the Filipino Government to cement and deepen the strategic partnership in favor of regional peace, stability, and prosperity during his reception for Ambassador Noel Servigon.

The host leader recommended the two sides cooperate to craft the Viet Nam-Philippines action program in the 2017-2022 so as to boost the bilateral linkages in specific aspects like security-national defense, trade-investment, agriculture, and so on.

Ambassador Noel Servigon was convinced that the celebration of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2016 would strengthen exchanges and mutual understanding among people of the two sides.

Mr.  Noel Servigon also promised to do his utmost to nurture the bilateral ties in the coming time./.
