Deputy PM Vu Van Ninh, head of the Steering Committee for international integration of the economy, made that statement at the first meeting of the Committee on April 16.

The meeting aims to enhance directions and coordination in term of international integration of the economy by consolidating the organizational system and the Committee.

Deputy PM Ninh highly valued the cooperation between ministries and agencies in launching international integration works over the past times, which has contributed to expanding the export market and the national economic development.

He highlighted the responsibility and activeness of businesses when exploiting benefits of the FTAs.

The Deputy PM asked ministries and agencies to improve the quality of information on integration for relevant sides to enjoy benefits from international integration.

In 2014, the nation concluded three among six FTA negotiations with the Republic of Korea, the EU and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

In addition, Viet Nam actively coordinated with other nations in ASEAN to complete the formation of the AEC at the end of this year. The nation belongs to one of the countries launching prioritized measures to establish the AEC with the high rate of 90%, equal to Singapore and higher than the average of the ASEAN (82.1%).
