DPM attends first Vietnamese Young Intellectual Forum

VGP – Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh on November 28 attended the opening ceremony of the first Vietnamese Young Intellectual Forum (VYI Forum 2018) in the central city of Da Nang.

Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Binh highly appraised the youth’s efforts to assert themselves and Viet Nam’s intellectuals to the world, expecting that young intellectuals will share experience and lessons as well as propose initiatives and solutions on mechanisms, policies and resources for the Party and Government to successfully launch the fourth industrial revolution. 

The Party and Government attach importance to the youth’s recommendations and measures to institutionalize guidelines, policies and measures to be suitable with the national development, he added. 

Vietnamese young intellectuals, living domestically or overseas, working at any sectors or regions are national special resources and treasures, he asserted. 

The forum is a bridging channel for young intellectual to discuss visions, roles and contributions to the national development and make contributions to promoting the nation’s intensive economic integration process to the region and the world. 

The event attracted the participation of 198 Vietnamese young intellectuals living and working in 21 countries worldwide.  

Delegates at the forum focused on three contents on enhancing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for high-quality human resources in the fourth industrial revolution, application of the fourth industrial revolution in the environmental protection and responding to climate change and accelerating renovation in business and production.
