DPM attends FEC’s banquet

VGP - Deputy PM Vu Van Ninh and his entourage started a working visit to Japan on May 20 by attending a banquet held by the Friendship and Exchange Council (FEC) of Japan.

The banquet saw the presence of Vietnamese ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung and FEC members.
 
Ken Matsuzawa, FEC Head and the members expressed their pleasure to receive the Vietnamese delegation on a working visit to Japan and attend the 21st international conference on the Future of Asia.
 
Matsuzawa stressed that the established friendship between the council and Viet Nam has nourished, contributing to enhancing trust between the two peoples.
 
He noted that Japanese PM Shinzo Abe always prioritizes promoting people-to-people diplomacy between Japanese people and people around the world and the FEC is responsible for the task.
 
The host also expressed his pleasure with the ASEAN Community’s establishment by the end of the year and hoped that Viet Nam would continue to make further contributions to prosperity and peace in the region and the world.
 
Deputy PM Ninh stressed that the Viet Nam-Japan relationship has grown into the comprehensive strategic partnership. Many Japanese businesses have operated effectively in Viet Nam in clean energy, electronics, automotive industry, agro-fisheries processing and farming.
 
Especially after President Truong Tan Sang’s visit to Japan last year, the two countries have enhanced cooperation in agricultural development to create farm products with high quality and values, the guest said.
 
He also asked the FEC to promote its role in boosting Japanese businesses to invest in Viet Nam and create further opportunities for people from all walks of life in both countries to meet and promote cultural and intellectual exchanges, contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership.
