DPM Hue receives Deloitte Global Chairman

VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue in Ha Noi on November 13 received Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank, who has been in Viet Nam to attend the APEC CEO Summit 2017.

Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue  receives Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank, who has been in Viet Nam to attend the APEC CEO Summit 2017, Ha Noi, November 13, 2017

At the reception, Deloitte Global Chairman David Cruickshank congratulated Viet Nam on successfully organising the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Ministerial Meeting, which took place within the framework of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, adding that Deloitte will have many cooperation opportunities in Viet Nam in the near future.

With the experience in valuing enterprises when equitizing and, in regards to corporate bond issuance activities to improve transparency and in supporting the operation of Start-ups, Deloitte is ready to support and cooperate with Viet Nam, he added.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue told his guest that he hopes Deloitte will provide further support for Vietnamese businesses in making public financial reports in line with international standards, thus enabling them to issue bonds in both local and international markets. 

The Deputy PM underlined the need for economic sectors to enhance accountability and transparency in the context of deeper international economic integration. 

He praised expertise and professional ethics of Deloitte Viet Nam’s employees and urged auditing companies as well as Deloitte Viet Nam to focus on auditing multinational corporations, major businesses, and listed companies.
