DPM Hai co-chairs VN-Slovakia Economic Form

VGP – Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai and his Slovak counterpart Lubomir Vazny on Friday co-chaired the Viet Nam-Slovakia Economic Cooperation Forum which was joined by as many ass 100 business leaders from the two countries.

Deputy PM Hai highlighted the deep and wide international integration process in both Viet Nam and Slovakia, which has created great opportunities for their businesses to expand investment and exchange goods.

The two Deputy PMs called on business circles to foster cooperation in such areas like auxiliary industries, agriculture, infrastructure, garment and footwear.

The business representatives hailed the two nations’ fine relations, regarding this forum as a step forward to strengthening their cooperation.

The two-way trade value was estimated at US$400 million/year. Slovakia is the biggest East-central European investor in Viet Nam with five projects worth US$235 million.

Vietnamese investors are also operating several projects in Slovakia, noticeably the FPT Group poured nearly US$300 million in a project on software development there.

During his stay in Slovakia, Deputy PM Hai visited Vuje company that performs in the field of nuclear and conventional power generation, and Slovnaft refinery./.
