Sustainable development of the business community is a condition for establishing a sustainable country, he said, expressing his hope that the Viet Nam’s business community will join hand for the sustainable development goals to promote the prosperity of the nation.

Fast and sustainable development is the fastest way for Viet Nam to shorten the development gap with other nations in the world, heading to realize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development  set by the United Nations in three pillars of economics, society and environment, he asserted

At the event, 100 companies were selected from nearly 500 companies in the areas of production, trade and services which meet the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) developed by the VCCI.

The VCCI coordinated with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, to build and announce the index of sustainable development with 131 indicators in order to praise typical firms with sustainable development.
