The construction of Cua Dai bridge project began four years ago with a total investment of VND 3.45 trillion (US$ 162.15 billion).

The project comprises a bridge and two roads connecting Hoi An ancient town, a World Culture Heritage site, and Duy Xuyen and Thang Binh districts with a combined length of 18.3km.

Cua Dai bridge will be put into operation in March 2015.

Addressing the event, the PM highlighted the extremely important role of the project in the areas of economics, culture, society, security, national defense, relief and rescue and local development.

The Government chief also hailed the investors, designers, engineers, workers and laborers for fulfilling 95% of the project on schedule.

He also hoped that the local authorities and relevant sides do their utmost to realize the rest of the project on schedule and in good quality./.
