Vietnamese artists play traditional musical instruments

Many solo and impromptu performances will be provided by Asian and European artists from September 15 to 22 in Hà Nội, mainly using percussion instruments, string-musical instruments, drums and bamboo flutes.

After the shows in Hà Nội, three groups of Asian and European musicians will continue their performance tour in Hồ Chí Minh City (September 22 to 27), Indonesia (September 22 to 27), Laos and Cambodia (Vientiane from September 22 to 24, and Phnom Penh from September 25 to 28).

The “Cracking Bamboo” International Music Festival’s aim is to form a platform for percussionists to play modern European instruments and traditional South East Asian ones.
