Construction sector stuffs ODA into strategic projects

VGP – The Ministry of Construction (MoC) just released the Statutes on managing and using official development aid (ODA), including non-refundable aid and preferential loans from international donors.

September 30, 2008 5:00 PM GMT+7

Housing projects for low-income people are prioritized

Under the Statutes, non-refundable ODA capital will be poured into programs and projects of the strategic fields, those on urban planning and upgrading, those to improve  the MoC’s State management and administrative reforms.

Besides, the projects on sewage and solid waste treatment, environmental hygiene, water supply; large-scale projects; programs on housing (especially for low-income people) and real estate market are also prioritized.

The MoC encourages its agencies to proactively mobilize  and attract ODA projects, use and manage the resource fruitfully, contributing to the realization of the socio-economic development goals.
