At the meeting, the PM will listen to reports on achievements and shortcomings of the sectors, thus proposing orientations and missions for the sector in 2018 and reports of ministries, agencies, localities, businesses and associations.

In 2017, the construction sector witnessed the growth of 8.7% and active contributions in fields of urban development, technical infrastructure and housing to the economic growth, said Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung.

The production of cement took the lead among ASEAN nations and listed among top 10 nations in the world.

The Ministry of Construction reduced 49 out of 90 procedures, simplified 22 administrative procedures and eliminated 5 among 17 conditional business lines.

The ministry proposes the PM issue directives on enhancing planning, measures to develop the real estate market and new building materials.
