Construction of Bến Thủy II Bridge starts today
VGP - The construction of Bến Thủy II Bridge linking the two central provinces of Nghệ An and Hà Tĩnh, with the investment of VND 1,260 billion from Government bonds, starts in Nghệ An’s Hưng Nguyên District.
At the ground-breaking ceremony,
Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng stressed that the construction of Bến Thuỷ II Bridge
over the Lam River mainly aims to upgrade the transportation network along
National Road 1A, focusing on the section from Vinh City (Nghệ An Province) to Nghi
Xuân District (Hà Tĩnh Province).

The bridge will have the total length of 2,940m and the width of 25m, including 4 lanes for high-speed motorized vehicles to run as fast as 80km/h.
