Congratulations extended to RoK

VNGOP – On the 15th anniversary of the diplomatic ties establishment between Việt Nam and the Republic of Korea (December 22, 1992-December 22, 2007), State President Nguyễn Minh Triết sent a message of greetings to RoK President Roh Moo Hyun today, December 21.

On the same day, Deputy PM, FM Phạm Gia Khiêm sent his congratulation to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Song Min Soon.

Answering on December 21 correspondents’ questions about the selection of Mr. Lee Myung Bak as the new RoK President, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lê Dũng said, “Việt Nam warmly congratulates Mr. Lee Myung Bak as the new President of the Republic of Korea.”

“Việt Nam believes that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries will well develop in the spirit of comprehensive partnership in the 21st century", he stressed.
