Question: What are regulations for foreigners to study in Viet Nam?

What are conditions for study admission, tuition, and costs of living?

Answer: Circular 09/2020/TT-BGDDT, dated May 7, 2020 on enrollment of universities and colleges in 2020 regulates the enrollment of foreign students in Vietnamese universities and colleges (Point h, Item 2, Article 7).

Under Circular 30/2018/TT0BGDDT, dated December 24, 2018 on management of international students in Viet Nam,

Principals of Vietnamese universities and colleges are responsible for deciding enrollment on the basis of their study performance at high schools (transcripts), proficiency levels of Vietnamese language in accordance with Article 6 of Circular 30/2018/TT-BGDDT, dated December 24, 2018 on regulations on management of international students in Viet Nam.

Viet Nam is a fairly cheap destination for traveling, studying, and living compared to most of other countries in Asia.

It is also filled with friendly people, affordable accommodation, cheap, healthy, and tasty food, and stunning landscapes that make it a standout choice among Southeast Asian study abroad destinations.

In fact, Forbes ranked Viet Nam as the cheapest place to travel in 2017, among affordable study abroad destinations like Bali, Indonesia, Cambodia, Portugal, and Barcelona, Spain./.
