Committee for constitution amendment convenes 7th session
VGP - The Committee for Drafting Amendments to the 1992 Constitution convened its 7th session in Ha Noi on August 10 under the chair of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung to further collect opinions to the alternative legal draft.
In his opening speech, Chairman Hung underlined the committee’s determination to bring the draft revised constitution to completion as soon as possible.
He said that the committee makes every effort to submit the most perfect draft to the NA for approval at the 13 th National Assembly’s sixth session as planned in October.
Chairman Hung revealed that the draft revised constitution has been basically edited and complemented in all chapters, articles and contents. At present, there are only two big issues that are required to be further discussed, including the organisation of government apparatus and the Constitutional Council.
The NA Chairman said it is necessary to organise seminars to further collect intensive opinions from legal experts to the draft.
He asked the committee’s members to continue to contribute their opinions and study opinions of NA members at the 5 th session in order to complete the draft.- VNA
