Committee for State Capital Management to make debut

VGP – The Committee for Management of State Capital (CMSC) is scheduled to made its debut at a ceremony on Sunday afternoon.

The Committee, established by the Government, has one Chairman and at most four Vice Chairmen appointed or dismissed by the Prime Minister.

It has 9 departments, including Department of Agriculture, Department of Industry, Department of Energy, Department of Technology and Infrastructure, Department of General Affairs, Department of Legislation and Internal Control, Department of Staff Organization, Administration Office, and the Information Center.

The Committee shall be responsible for managing capital worth VND 820 trillion (nearly US$ 36 billion) and a total value of assets at over VND 1.5 quadrillion invested at 19 State corporations and groups, proposing overall strategy for investment development of these enterprises and submitting it to the Government and the Prime Minister for approval.

The Committee shall act as State owner representative at the following enterprises:

a) State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC);

b) Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (PVN);

c) Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN);

d) Viet Nam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex);

dd) Viet Nam National Chemical Group (VINACHEM);

e) Viet Nam Rubber Group (VRG);

g) Viet Nam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (VINACOMIN);

h) Viet Nam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT);

i) Viet Nam Mobile Telecom Services One Member Limited Liability (MobiFone);

k) Viet Nam National Tobacco Corporation (VINATAB);

l) Viet Nam Airlines;

m) Viet Nam National Shipping Lines (VINALINES);

n) Viet Nam Railways (VNR);

o) Viet Nam Expressway Corporation (VEC);

p) Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV);

q) Viet Nam National Coffee Corporation (VINACAFE);

r) Viet Nam Southern Food Corporation (VINAFOOD 2);

s) Viet Nam Northern Food Corporation (VINAFOOD 1);

t) Viet Nam Forest Corporation (VINAFOR);

u) Other enterprises decided by the Prime Minister./.
