Commercial counselors urged to push ratification of new-generation FTAs

VGP – State President Tran Dai Quang urged commercial counselors and chiefs of Vietnamese commercial offices overseas to push forward the ratification of inked new-generation free trade agreements.

State President Quang stressed the requirement during a meeting with the commercial counselors and chiefs of Vietnamese commercial offices in Ha Noi on Thursday.

He also asked them to actively grasp situations in the host countries, improve market forecast to promptly give policy recommendations to Viet Nam and help Vietnamese goods sustainably navigate foreign markets. 

As 2018 is a core year to implement the Resolution adopted by the 12th National Party Congress and the National Assembly’s Resolution on the 2016-2020 socio-economic development plan, the industry and trade sector and Vietnamese commercial offices abroad in particular need to stay active, proactive and drastic to fulfill assigned tasks, the State President said./.
