Chinese Party delegation visits VN

VGP - A delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) led by Hu Chunhua, Politburo member and Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee is on a working visit to Viet Nam from April 13-17.

At an April 14 reception for Chinese guests, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong expressed his satisfaction with the fine development of Viet Nam-China relations over the past year and appreciated the leading role of the Guangdong province in China’s reform process.

He also spoke highly of the good results of economic and trade cooperation between Guangdong and Viet Nam, adding that he hopes through the visit, cooperation and exchange between Guangdong and Vietnamese localities will record remarkable progress.

Hu conveyed best regards from General Secretary and Chinese President Xi Jinping to Party Chief Nguyen Phu Trong and reported him on the results achieved during the visit.

He also briefed Trong on the development of the Guangdong province as well as economic and trade cooperation between his province and Vietnamese localities.

Hu affirmed the Chinese Party, Government and people’s recognition of importance to developing the ties of neighbourliness, friendship and strategic comprehensive cooperative partnership with Viet Nam and pledged to further promote cooperation between Guangdong and Vietnamese localities in the future.
 
Earlier at the talks with the Chinese delegation chaired by Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ha Noi municipal Party Committee, the two sides introduced each other about the situation of each Party, each country, Ha Noi and Guangdong and worked out plans for their cooperation.

Hu Chunhua and his delegation also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, attended a conference on Guangdong-Viet Nam economic and trade exchange and toured President Ho Chi Minh relic site and a number of economic and cultural establishments in the capital city.

 Meeting the Chinese Party official on the same day, President Truong Tan Sang applauded the visit as the good way to realize cooperation agreements reached by the two Parties and States and strengthen exchange between Guangdong and Vietnamese localities in the coming time.

Hu informed President Sang about the results of cooperation in economics, trade, and tourism between his locality and Vietnamese partners, noting that Guangdong will go ahead with many more new programmes to boost stronger cooperation with Viet Nam.

He said he hopes China and Viet Nam will intensify trade exchange towards achieving $100 billion trade target as committed by the two nations.

During its stay in Viet Nam, the CPC delegation is scheduled to pay working visits to Da Nang, Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City and Tien Giang. - VOV
