The Central Party Committee warmly welcomed, applauded and thanked countrymen, comrades, soldiers, as well as overseas Vietnamese people for their solidarity in the fight against COVID-19.

As the pandemic still evolves complicatedly,  the top leader underlined the necessity to stay vigilant to take prompt responses while restarting the economy and stabilizing people's life to strive for realization of the preset goals for 2020.

Trong asked members of the committee to continue to further uphold a sense of responsibility for the Party, countrymen and the country to focus on realizing the resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress and the Party Central Committee, and prepare for the 13th National Party Congress.

During the plenum, the Party Central Committee elected two more members to its Inspection Committee and decided to expel Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, former Deputy Defense Minister from the Party as he bears prime responsibility as well as personal responsibility for the violations and mistakes of the force in management and use of defense land.
