Car quota fixed for overseas Vietnamese representative agencies

VGP – Vietnamese Ambassadors and other equivalent titles, representatives, and heads of Vietnamese delegations at international organizations shall be allowed to buy one car each for work with the maximum price of US$ 65,000/car.

The quota was stated in the Government’s recent Decree stipulating standards, norms and management regimes for public property usage of overseas Vietnam representations.  

Consul Generals and equivalent titles shall be allowed to buy one car each for work with a maximum price of US$ 60,000/car.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs shall decide the number of vehicles used for general work of each of overseas representative agencies on the basis of the number of personnel.

A representative agency shall be allowed to purchase one car for general work with the maximum price of US$45,000 and the other cars with the maximum price of US$35,000 per one.
