CPI in November up nearly 1%
VGP – The avarage Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the recent 11 months of 2019 witnessed a year-on-year increase of 2.57%, the lowest growth over the recent three years, according to the General Statistics Office.
Nine among 11 groups saw increases in prices including restaurants and food service up 2.74%, beverage and tobacco up 0.2%, housing and buidling material up 0.13%, garments, hats and footwear up 0.12%, household equipments up 0.1%, medicine and health service up 0.04% and education up 0.04%.
Transport and telecommunications reported respective deceases in prices of 0.73% and 0.09%.
The CPI in November picked up 3.78% and 3.52% compared to December 2018 and the same period last year, respectively.
The gold index and US$ decreased 0.63% and 0.13% against the previous month, respectively.
