In January-May, total budget spending was estimated at VND 484.5 trillion, accounting for 10.1% of the same period last year, of which development expenditure hit VND 76,2 trillion (meeting 21.4% of forecast up 22.6%); debt payment VND 44.9 billion (equivalent to 45.4% of forecast, up 10.2%); regular spending VND 362.3 trillion (equivalent to 40.4% of forecast and up 8.3% against the same period last year).

Disbursement of basic construction projects accounted for 21% of forecast, higher than the rate of 20.9% in the same period in 2016.
