Boisterous production activities in the new spring

VGP – Workers of many factories and farmers in many localities have started their New-Year working days in the hope that the Year of Tiger will bring about good lucks and prosperity.

In the 1st day of the Lunar New Year (February 14), over 300 worker of the Tôn Hoa Sen Group in the Industrial Park Sóng Thần II, southern province of Bình Dương, started the first working day of the New Spring.   

The same day, the wholly Japan-invested company Yakult Việt Nam in the Việt Nam-Singapore Industrial Park in Bình Dương Province churned out the first batch of soft drink Yakult in the Year of Tiger.

Over the past days, many localities of the central province of Bình Định kick-started their New-Year production activities.

In the districts of Phù Cát, Phù Mỹ, Tây Sơn and Tuy Phước, thousands of farmers rushed to the rice-fields for spraying against brown-backed rice plant hoppers.

The Quy Nhơn Port welcomed ten big vessels. A groundbreaking ceremony was also organized to start the construction of a pier for 30,000-ton ships.

At 10.00 AM of February 15 (2nd day of the Lunar New Year Festival), ships JEWEL OF NIPPON (55,760DWT) and CHUN WEI (8,020 DWT) of Panama and Cambodia respectively arrived the Cẩm Phả Port in the northern province of Quảng Ninh to load coal.

One day earlier, the province’s world heritage city of Hạ Long greeted over 3,000 tourists of which 90% are foreigners.

On the last day of the Lunar Year of Buffalo (February 13), international vessel Legend carried nearly 2,000 international tourists to Hạ Long Bay.

This year, Quảng Ninh expects to welcome 5.2 million turns of tourists, including 2.4 million international ones.

As reported by travel agencies, thousands of foreign tourists became the first callers on the New Year Day in Việt Nam.

The Customs Office at the Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport in Hồ Chí Minh City revealed that, during the first day of the Lunar New Year Festival, approximately 10,000 passengers have entered Việt Nam per day.
