The conference is held by the World & Việt Nam Newspaper under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Asia Business Forum, and the European Chamber of Commerce in Việt Nam.

It is estimated that Việt Nam’s economy will continue to grow fast until 2020 while its population will reach 100 million by the time. Hence, to meet the demand for electricity, the power sector will have to grow 12% annually.

Endowed with abundant natural resources, including fossil fuels and water sources, Việt Nam has become an attractive destination in Asia for local and foreign investors to pour capital into developing electricity.
