Under the theme "Managing Risk in an Unchartered Age", the 4-day Summit attracted over 500 senior bankers from Asia, Oceania and Middle East.

The Summit’s focus is discussions on issues relating to credit risks; cash management; and banking regulations.

According to Governor of the State Bank of Việt Nam Nguyễn Văn Giàu, Việt Nam has succeeded in stabilizing the value of currency, controlling inflation, stabilizing the macro-economy and facilitating high economic growth rate. Việt Nam is perfecting its policies on exchange rate and carefully loosening capital transactions commensurate with the open-door roadmap.

Asian Banker President David Eldon praised Việt Nam’s impressive economic development over the past time. He went on to say that investments carried out by the world’s leading economic groups make Việt Nam an attractive destination for bankers. He also showed his desire to work with Vietnamese partners.

Mentioning solutions for Việt Nam to maintain its high growth rate and control inflation, many experts stressed policies on finance and currency. They suggested Vietnamese policy-makers properly balance currency flows in the market.
