Bac Ninh urban general planning scheme adjustments ratified

VGP –Bac Ninh Province will become a polar of Ha Noi-Bac Ninh-Vinh Phuc development triangle and a civilized and modern urban area in the capital region and the Asia-Pacific region.

Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung has inked a decision on approving the adjustment to the Bac Ninh urban general planning scheme until 2035, with a vision to 2050, which is attached with the capital city of Ha Noi urban general planning scheme. 

The province is located on the area of 822.71 km2 with the population of 1,317,817 in 2017. 

By 2035, the province will include seven urban areas, giving priority to developing high-quality services such as education-training, research and application of science and technology, health, cultural tourism and trade. 

Exhibitions, shopping centers and two logistics at Que Vo District on the area of 100 ha and Yen Phong District-Bac Ninh City on the area of 100 ha will be developed. 

The province will establish markets in line with trade villages and agricultural production regions to support agricultural production activities and local trade villages. 

According to the scheme, Bac Ninh Province will become an attractive center of tourism-culture and ecology of the Red River Delta and the nation and form road and waterway tourism routes, especially on the Duong River.
