Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu licenses half of investment projects in the year-plan

VGP – In the early day of the Lunar New Year of Tiger, the southern province of Bà Rịa- Vũng Tàu has licensed 15 out of 39 investment projects which will be carried out there in 2010.

On February 22, the provincial government granted certificates to ten investors who pour US $922.5 million and VND 6,178 billion into two FDI and eight domestic investment projects respectively.

In addition, other five projects, including three FDI (US $2.4 million in total) and two domestic ones (VND 57.7 billion) have been licensed in the early spring days.

At the granting ceremony, representatives of the Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu People’s Committee revealed that, the province plans to lure 39 investment projects in 2010, including 20 FDI ones worth of nearly US $2 billion.

By late 2009, Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu attracted 260 FDI projects and 322 domestic ones, with the total registered capital of US $25.2 billion and VND 123 trillion respectively.
