AstraZeneca delivers over 2 million doses for Viet Nam
VGP – Over 2.01 million doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the Tan Son Nhat international airport in HCM City on Wednesday, according to the Viet Nam Vaccine Company (VNVC).

This is part of an order of 30 million doses signed between VNVC and AstraZeneca last November. AstraZeneca has shipped more than 10.1 million AstraZeneca doses to Viet Nam.
To date, Viet Nam has received 29 million vaccine doses from various sources, including 19 million AstraZeneca doses, over 5 million Moderna doses, 1.2 million Pfizer doses, 12,000 Sputnik-V doses, and 2.5 million Sinopharm doses.
As of late August 31, nearly 20 million doses had been administered, with more than 2.6 million people having been fully vaccinated.
Ho Chi Minh City, the epicenter of Viet Nam’s fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence has so far inoculated 6.1 million doses to residents aged above 18, or 83% of the city’s population.
The southern metropolis is seeking 8.1 million doses to complete its vaccination campaign for people aged above 18 from now to the end of this year./.
