Around 8 million COVID-19 vaccine doses to be delivered to Viet Nam in July
VGP – Viet Nam will receive eight million COVID-19 vaccine doses this July, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said on Friday.

The vaccines will be delivered through contracts or COVAX facility, Nguyen added.
The country is expected to receive 30 million doses of vaccines in the third quarter of 2021.
Around 19,000 vaccination sites would be deployed nationwide and all medical workforce would be mobilized to ensure all the received vaccines are used up.
Vaccination safety must be the top priority, the minister stressed.
The ministry has approved five foreign vaccines, namely AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Pfizer, Sinopharm, and Moderna for emergency use in Viet Nam.
The Southeast Asian country has received about 4.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, including one million doses donated by the Government of Japan.
As of July 1, over 3.81 million doses were administered nationwide, including more than 2.57 million doses in June alone. As many as 204,000 people had been fully vaccinated.
The Government aims to acquire a total of 150 million doses this year to cover 70% of the population./.
