An Giang attracts US$164mln in 10 months

VGP – The southern province of An Giang licensed investment certificates for 13 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of over US$163.8 million and disbursed over US$8.6 million over the past ten months of 2014.

In comparison with the same period in 2013, nine more FDI projects were invested with a registered capital of more than US$156.4 million.

Remarkably, a Taiwanese investor in garment poured US$100 million in Xuan To Industrial Park while around US$15 million has been invested by a Republic of Korea’s investor in footwear in Binh Hoa Industrial Park.

According to the province’s Department of Planning and Investment, the province is home to 33 valid FDI projects, worth more than US$213 million. As much as US$52 million were disbursed.
