Ambassador: India strives to deepen strategic partnership with Viet Nam

VGP - India always works to reinforce the strategic partnership with Vietnam for both nations’ interests and development.

Indian Ambassador to Viet Nam Preeti Saran made the statement during a meeting with Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Ha Noi on December 19.

She affirmed that she would work closely with relevant agencies of both countries to implement effectively agreements inked by the high-level leaders and make positive contributions to boosting bilateral cooperative programs and projects in all fields during her tenure in Viet Nam.

Deputy PM Phuc expressed his pleasure to see sound developments in the bilateral traditional friendship and cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economics, trade, investment, culture and education, as well as the good results of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s state visit to India, which would elevate bilateral ties to a new height in the future.

He voiced his hope that the two countries would enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, support each other’s stances at regional and international forums and foster cooperation in economics, trade, investment, energy, tourism, science, technology, pharmaceuticals, education, training and national defence.

He also expressed his hope that the ambassador would continue to help make the traditional friendship and strategic partnership more effective and practical.
