Agro-forestry-fishery exports exceed US$ 32 billion

VGP – Overseas shipment of agro-forestry-fishery exports in October was estimated at US$ 3.36 billion, bringing the total export turnover to US$ 32.6 billion in the first ten months, up 8.1% against the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Export turnover of key farm products valued US$ 16.4 billion, up 2.3%; aquatic products US$ 7.27 billion (up 6.2%); livestock products US$ 0.46 billion (up 9.5%); and forestry products US$ 7.6 billion (up 16.3%). 

About 264,000 tons of rice was shipped abroad in October. Viet Nam exported 5.2 million tons of rice and earned US$ 2.6 billion in revenue, up 1.7% in quantity and 14.1% in value. 

Fruits and vegetables brought back US$ 3.3 billion of revenue, representing a year-on-year growth of 15.5%. 

On the other hand, overseas shipment of some product dropped including pepper with US$ 676 million (down 33.4%); rubber with US$ 1.66 billion (down 7.3%); tea with US$ 171 million (down 7.7%)./.
