Agro-forestry-fishery export earns US$ 30 billion

VGP – The agro-forestry-fishery sector pocketed US$ 29.76 billion from overseas shipment in the first ten months, up 12.7% against the same period last year, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Export turnover of agro-forestry-fishery products was estimated at US$ 2.74 billion in October, bringing the total figure to US$ 29.76 billion in the first ten months, up 12.7% against the same period last year.

Overseas shipment of agricultural products was estimated at US$ 15.62 billion, up 15.2% against the same period last year. Aquatic export was projected at US$ 6.73 billion, representing a year-on-year growth of 17.6%. Forestry products overseas sale was estimated at US$ 6.33 billion, up 9.9% against the same period last year.

Noticeably, a large number of agricultural products saw sharply rising export turnovers, especially vegetables and fruits with US$ 2.84 billion (up 41.2%); rubber with US$ 1.77 billion./.
