Agri-aquatic-forestry product exports exceed US$20bln in 7 months

VGP – Viet Nam gained US$3.11 billion from exporting agri-aquatic-forestry products in July, raising the total export value to US$20.45 billion over the recent seven months of the year, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The exports of agricultural, aquatic and forestry products reached US$10.89 billion, US$4.31 billion and US$4.41 billion, up 18%, 17.5% and 10.8%, respectively.

The nation earned US$727 million and US$550 million from exporting aquatic products and timber in July, respectively.

Rubber exports in July attained 154,000 tons, worth US$230 million, raising the total rubber export volume to 639,000 tons, valued at US$1.13 billion, up 12.8%　and　59.2%, respectively.

Rice exports in July obtained 465,000 tons, worth US$201 million, bringing the total export turnover to 3.3 million tons, gaining US$1.5 billion.
