Adjustments of pensions, social insurance and monthly allowances
VGP – The Government on May 20 issued Decree No. 44/2019/ND-CP adjusting pensions, social insurance and monthly allowances (“Decree 44”).
Question: Who are subjects of application and what are adjustment rates of pensions, social insurance and monthly allowances as stipulated in Decree 44?
Answer:
Decree 44 provides for an increase of 7.19% in the pension, social insurance and monthly allowances of June 2019 with respect to the following 8 subjects:
(1) Officers, public servants, workers, officials and employees , soldiers, public security forces and people of secret service task force enjoying monthly pensions;
(2) Officers of communes, wards and towns;
(3) People who are enjoying monthly disability allowances as prescribed by law;
(4) Officers of communes, wards and towns enjoying monthly allowances;
(5) Soldiers enjoying monthly allowances;
(6) Public security officers enjoying monthly allowances;
(7) Public security forces people of secret service task force enjoying the same salaries with soldiers and public security forces enjoying monthly allowances;
(8) People enjoying monthly allowances for labor accidents or occupational diseases.
The expenditure for adjusting pensions, social insurance and monthly allowances pursuant to Decree 44 will be sourced from the State Budget and the social insurance fund corresponding to each subject./.
