Additional 4,060 COVID-19 cases confirmed

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from July 20 to 6.00 am of July 31.

The latest patients are residents in 22 localities: HCMC (2,503), Binh Duong (868), Dong Nai (222), Tien Giang (123), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (76), Can Tho (55), Vinh Long (48), Binh Thuan (38), Dong Thap (31), Phu Yen (28), Kien Giang (16), Dak Lak (11), Son La (10), Binh Dinh (9), Thua-Thien Hue (4), Quang Tri (4), Dak Nong (4), Ha Noi (3), Nghe An (2), Ha Tinh (2), Hau Giang (2) and Kon Tum (1). Of these, 973 were detected in the community.

Among the national patient tally, 138,887 are locally-transmitted cases, including 137,317 documented in 62 cities and provinces since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence began.

Four out of the above localities have gone 14 days without community infection, namely Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Quang Ninh and Bac Kan.

As of late July 30, 5,931,376 vaccine doses were administered, with 588,893 people fully vaccinated./.
