ASEAN discusses measures to build trust
VGP – The mid-term meeting of officials from the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) was opened in the coastal city of Nha Trang in Việt Nam’s central province of Khánh Hòa on March 18-20 to discuss confidence-building measures and development of preventive diplomacy.

The officials focused their
discussions on international and regional situations, thoroughly talked of
measures to build confidence, develop the ARF in the future, and prepare for
the ARF Senior Officials Meeting (ARF SOM) in May and the ARF Ministerial
Meeting in July.
Speaking at the meeting, Foreign
Minister Assistant Phạm Quang Vinh, Head of Việt
He stated that Việt Nam, as
the ARF Chair, will spare no effort for the forum’s development.
