ASEAN countries’ diplomats gather in Kiev
VGP - The Vietnamese Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine has hosted a gathering event for staff of ASEAN member countries’ embassies based in the European city.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Minh Tri stressed Viet Nam’s active and responsible contributions to building a strong, united and closely linked ASEAN community with an increasingly important position in the region and the world, for prosperous development of each member country, for regional peace, stability and cooperation.
Enhancing collaboration with ASEAN member countries has been part of Viet Nam’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, multilateralization and active integration into the region and the world, Tri said.
The diplomat expressed his hope that embassies of Viet Nam, Indonesia and Malaysia will continue cooperation in mutual understanding to encourage each other to fulfill assigned tasks, contributing to establishing the ASEAN Economic Community by the end of the year.
The participants competed in bowling games and enjoyed Viet Nam’s special dishes.
Diplomats from Malaysian and Indonesian embassies in Kiev expressed their good impression of Vietnamese land and people, extended congratulations to Vietnamese on the 40thanniversary of the southern liberation and national unification and wished Viet Nam to gain further achievements in the renewal process.
