APEC host receives Int’l Trade Union Confederation – Asia Pacific’s Statement

VGP – Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh received a statement of the International Trade Union Confederation – Asia Pacific (ITUC-AP), from ITUC-AP Secretary General Shoya Yoshida in Ha Noi on November 3.

Deputy PM, FM Minh, who is also Chairman of the National Committee for APEC 2017, promised to send the Statement to the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Da Nang next week.

He stressed that the confederation’s interests to to back and assist laborers in the region are also one of the four priorities of the APEC Year 2017 in Viet Nam in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable development in Asia-Pacific.

Human resources development is a priority of this year’s cooperation as it is essential to increase productivity and prepare workforce for the future in the context of rapid scientific-technological development, Deputy PM, FM Minh added.

Yoshida said APEC economies will achieve inclusive growth if they reduce inequality and create more jobs./.
